I have a 71 sports roof that came with the standard outside mirrors--which someone replaced with really crappy aftermarket mirrors. I have purchaced a set of correct racing mirrors. I know i will have to drill new holes to mount theses and i would rather get them as near factory as possible.
Does someone have instructions or a template for mounting racing mirrors on a 71-73? |

| I should get time to take some measurements tomorrow and let you know. I have two convertibles, a '71 and a '73. The mirror placement should be the same. I'll check both and let you know. Don. |

| Sorry it took so long to get back with you. If you measure 1" down from the top body line, and then starting at the front edge of the door, also 1" down from the body line, the lines intersect at 7-7/8" and 14-11/16". I would set the first hole at the 1" X 7-7/8" intersect, and then line the second hole up at the back hole of your mirror base, 1" down from the top body line. I hope I'm explaining it well enough. If not, let me know and maybe I can email some pictures. Let me know. Don. |
